Seniors Ministry
On the third Thursday of each month we have a potluck dinner and fellowship after the Bible Study. As we see the example in the New Testament where they often meet together to eat and fellowship, we invite you to join with us. 1 Cor. 10:31 teaches us, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
We seek to glorify God and enjoy one another following the command in John 13:34-35 which says. "a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
As part of the church family at Calvary Chapel of Hemet we enjoy being together and doing things together as should be the case with any healthy family. Like the early church we enjoy getting together for many reasons; for the teaching of the Word, for fellowship, and for prayer as we see in Acts 2:42.
The 50+ “The Young at Heart” meets as a healthy part of Calvary Chapel Hemet. We are living as a New Testament church which gives us great joy and is surely pleasing to the Lord. This enables us to mature and to be ready to reach out and love and encourage one another during times of grief and sorrow . Some of the things we enjoy doing together in addition to Bible Study and Pot Luck Dinners we also enjoy great times of fellowship at: Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas and New Years Eve time together and outings such as going to Oak Glen together in the church mini bus.
It is our desire, our practice, to live in such a way that our love for one another will be so real that others will see that it is just the way we live our daily lives as family members of the Family of God, living according to the Word of God. We are to love one another as Christ has loved us. As we gather together to study the Word and pray for one another we are doing so in obedience to our Lords commands to His Church as revealed in Scripture. You are cordially invited to join us
